Poseidon, ruler of the sea
How long before you reveal your seat
You sit on rocks far beneath the sea
And you take yachts for your meat
You have in possession the world’s biggest ships
The titanic you will not reveal
You take its cabins for your chips
And its secrets you conceal
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
You give us fishes we adore
But your sharks we abhor
Nevertheless you sympathize with us with your breeze
Your breeze relaxes our soul
But your tsunami is an eyesore
We shiver when you roar
But we love your smooth sail
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
You give us salt to garnish our soups
But your water don’t quench our thirst
Restricting us to whisky when we are with you
Nevertheless we love to walk at your beach
But we never like your breach
Your heart is far beyond our reach
But your color is so rich
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
I hate you for one thing and you know
You brought them here to rule and take
And they left to build and reign
You bring us back to where we belong
Whenever we die in your midst
Though our eyes never come along
For our bodies, we thank you
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
We kill your sons and your daughters we defile
But you watch us with open eyes
Hoping to see some good in mankind
I heard your face resides in the Bermuda
So fierce we scarce can behold
But I hope to me it may be revealed
And say how beautiful you are to me
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
We never want to make you cry
Because we heard your tears cause flood
And I don’t want to lose her
We heard you never sleep
And that your eyes never close
I envy the bride over whom you watch
Though I doubt if you have one
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
Abduct me for just a second
Tell me of all the secrets you know
Of love, of care and of hope
Take me to the Titanic
The ship in which love was redefined
To learn how to love her more
And die in her stead
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
I heard Odyssey troubled you a lot
Is it true? Let me know
Don’t tell me you are that weak
I heard a man walked on you
Can you tell me of him? I pray thee
I wish I had met him
Never mind because his blood still saves
Poseidon, ruler of the sea
I heard your monster attacked Troy
You shouldn’t have done that for Helen’s sake
Achilles died and I hope you know
